TEUFENBACH
Teufenbach – in the heart of the Murtal Holiday Region. This charming well-kept village with its delightful park, playground, tennis courts and football pitch lies in the centre of the Murtal Holiday Region and borders the idyllic Grebenzen Nature Park. Here you are just a few kilometres away from the local ski areas (Kreischberg, Lachtal, Grebenzen and Frauenalpe) and refreshing mountain bathing lakes in the Nature Park, in the district capital town of Murau or in the cultural town of St. Lambrecht. You are approximately an hour away from the cities of Graz and Klagenfurt, and just a few minutes’ drive from the West Styrian winegrowing country. Hikers don’t need a car. Just step out of the front door and disappear into the dark green forests of Teufenbach that surround the house.
Infrastructure in the village
Train station for regional trains, doctors and vets close by, a well-stocked local store, hairdressers and restaurant (take-away meals also available).

In the warmer months the lush green forests, fragrant Alpine meadows, the bathing lakes of drinking water quality and the many hiking and nature trails invite you to spend hours exploring. Not to forget the indoor pool, a small thermal baths and the many open air pools.

This is a region which is predestined for mountain-biking and cycling along the River Mur. It is also great for horse-riding. And if it’s more horse power you’re interested in, motor bikers will love the mountain roads in the Murau region.
Ideal for anglers and hunters. And for golfers there is an 18-hole golf course in Mariahof, in the Grebenzen Nature Park and three additional courses nearby. Murau is also a cultural region with a comprehensive programme of events (Styriarte, Jeunesse) in the Grebenzen Nature Park and in the town of Murau itself.
